MRBDC, LLC is a full-service residential building design firm that concentrates on the built environment and how it should support how you live. To accomplish this, we collaborate with our clients to develop custom home projects that accommodate how they live.
Programming and Pre-Design
Programing your project starts with our initial consultation, a general discussion of your project goals, budgetary expectations, and a review of our contract terms and fees.
Schematic Design
After the establishment and agreement for services, we begin developing the Schematic Design. This involves an in-depth discussion of your project goals and your new homes requirements.
Design Development
The Design Develpoment phase further refines the Schematic Design documents. During this phase a structural engineer may be required to size and specify structural framing members for your home. This may cause certain design elements to be relocated or modified to accommodate structure.
Contractor Selection, Costing and Contract Negotiation
The Consruction Documents will be used to obtain final costing of the project from contractor(s) and apply for building permit(s). Construction may begin once the owner is satisfied with the bid, the permit(s) are secured, and the Owner-Contractor Agreement is signed.
Construction Administration and Observation
The Designer/Consultant will interpret the Contract Documents, answer questions, and develop clarification sketches and/or drawings as required. The Designer/Consultant will also visit the site, review progress, and work for compliance with Codes and Contract Documents.
